Since taking on his role as Executive Director of AISWCD, Dr. Michael Woods has enjoyed visiting regional meetings to celebrate conservation efforts while sharing the importance of soil and water conservation districts and to boost local voices within the Association.
“SWCD staff and directors are the linchpins to local conservation, those in our cause that are indispensable – who simply cannot be replaced because their role is just far too unique and valuable,” he said. “We truly value partners in the districts and want to ensure that the association is primed to provide services at the district level.”
So far Woods has visited district annual meetings in the counties of

- Pulaski-Alexander
